My Paci and Name that Tune

So, Julia can now try and reach for things and it is so cute. She likes to try and grab for her paci and she knows exactly where to put it.

Natalie loves to sing, but if you have been around her at all, you know she can be a little hard to understand. I will let you try and figure out what two songs she is singing.

Emily Turns Two!

So, today Natalie friend, Emily, celebrated her second birthday. It was a lot of fun and I think Emily had a good time!

Here is Julia with Carrie's friend. Anita, checking out her first birthday party.

Here are the girls with the desk that we (Natalie and Abbie) got Emily for her birthday.

Here the girls are enjoying their goodies. Abbie, Emily, Natalie and Ava.

Finally, a photo of the three of us where we are all looking the same direction!!

My girls in their very cute monkey outfits that were a gift from my friend, Cassidy.

TGIFriday!

This week has been just crazy! There are lots of things going on around here. We ordered new furniture for the girls, so I am trying to get Natalie's room ready for some new paint and trying to decide what to do with Julia's. I am helping to host 3 baby showers for very dear friends next month, so that has kept me busy too, but that is a fun kind of busy. There isn't much on our calendar, so trying to find something for Natalie to do has proven to be a challenge. She went to the doctor yesterday with a really bad cough, they thought it might be a sinus infection. Poor thing. Anyway, some medicine and Vic's on the feet at night and we are all good. We do have at least one birthday party every weekend this month, so that should be fun for all of us. I love birthday parties!!

So, Julia has finally found her feet and she just loves them. She even got one in her mouth the other night during her bath. It was too cute.

Natalie at dinner time.

Julia isn't happy sitting on the floor during dinner, she has to be on the table right in the middle of everything. She cracks me up.

"Is that my Daddy?"

I love my Bumbo seat!

Lunch with PaPa Don

So, today we went to My Gym to let Natalie run off some energy and after that we went to PaPa Don's house for lunch. Nothing fancy, just a little McDonalds, but the kids enjoyed seeing him and I think he liked seeing them too. I finally got a photo of Julia and PaPa, the only other one I had was at her birth! Way too long ago.

Yesterday Natalie decided not to nap so she was in rare form last night. Jeff took her to Target to get a toy, but they ended up leaving empty handed because they didn't have the toy and her behavior didn't deserve a toy. Anyway, Natalie has been in the habit lately of asking us if we are happy. I think they are talking about it at school or something because she asks everyone. Usually she wants to know if you are happy with something that she has done. So, they get home and she says, "Mommy are you happy?" I look at her with a puzzled face because Jeff has just told me about everything that has happened at the store and then she says, "Say nope, say nope!" It was too funny.

Julia can giggle!

Julia has giggled 3 times now, and we finally got the third time on tape. I just think it is the sweetest sound! She has also figured out how to spin her toy that suction cups to the table, which I of course think is advanced!

Mission Impossible

For three and a half months now and counting I have been trying to get a good photo of the girls together. Let me just tell you that it is impossible. Above is an attempt from this morning. Julia was sitting very nice in her Bumbo so I asked Natalie to sit beside her. She then demanded that she needed a Bumbo, so I said fine. Then when I got the camera out she started screaming no and put her head in the Bumbo seat and her butt in the air. So, I promised her a mint if she sat up nice and smiled. She proceeded to say cheese during every photo and the above is what I got. Oh, and then she wanted to sit in front of Julia. Great. Will I ever get this photo??

Loving those ears

Julia's ears just crack me up. I have no idea where she got them, but I love them. The girls have had a wild week. We have been trying to get Natalie to nap, but she has been refusing and then she is a terror all night. So, on Thursday Jeff told her that if she took a nap she could watch Dora and that seemed to work. So far so good. She has been really clingy lately too, I think she is still having a hard time adjusting. Poor thing. Hopefully it just gets better and better. I have heard that six months is the magic number. Julia just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Now she is always trying to pull herself into am upright sitting position when she is sitting in a swing or a reclined chair. She can also grab for toys now and can spin a rattle that she has. Amazing. I love watching these two girls grow up!

Back to Blogging

It has been too long since I have entered a post and I can't wait to get back at it. I think I will just jump on in.

This weekend was really busy, but we got a lot done. Saturday Julia and I attended a funeral and Jeff and Natalie went shopping. Sunday we helped Mom and Darryl clean the basement so they would be ready for the new carpet that is coming on Tuesday.

Here are some photos from the last week or so...

I am pretty sure that no one else looks this good while wearing a baby carrier. It could be that the baby is super cute.

This is Natalie in her new Dora socks. She pronounces Dora as "Dorka", which is really funny. She has already informed me that she wants a Dorka birthday. HA!

I love this photo of Natalie and Julia. Not sure what is going on, but I am pretty sure that Julia doesn't like it.

These are a couple of photos of Julia before we left for the funeral. I took the flower off her head, wasn't sure it was appropriate, but I am certain that it is cute. Her Godmother, Kendra, got her this dress and it is so cute. Thanks Kendra!

So, we have an inflatable pool on the deck and one afternoon Natalie came in and told Jeff that she needed to dry her hair. She proceeded to do so with the AC register.

I just love that Natalie will now hold Julia for 1 second so I can get a photo of them. This photo only cost me one mint. That was Natalie's going price. I just love the girls in their PJ's.

Jeff and I call Julia the Hibernator. When this girl sleeps, she sleeps. She is still sleeping in the swing in our room, with it on high and in her swaddle, but she will sleep from around 8pm to around 7am, get up and eat and sometimes go back to sleep until 10. Now that is my kind of sleeping! Yes we do have a very ugly swing as we have already blown through one motor and had to buy a new swing. But I loved the seat of the old swing, but needed the motor of the new swing so we just mixed them.

Here is Julia hanging out in Natalie's room. She loves this little chair too.

Our friend Carol made these hats for the girls for the Holiday's and I just love them. They are so cute. I can't wait for them to wear them!!!

So, last Thursday Natalie had her PAT spring party. There were snacks, crafts, music and of course a real bunny to pet.

Here Natalie is decorating and enjoying her treat.

Her Jeff and Natalie are making the bunny craft.

Here are Natalie and Dad during the music class.

Here is Natalie petting Jack the bunny. She was a little nervous at first, but came around later.

Jeff hurt his toe a while ago and tapes it before his kick boxing class, here is Natalie taping her toes too. She cracks me up!

Dad is leaving to head back home Monday morning. We will sure miss all his help! I have a doctors appointment Tuesday morning, only two more left before my scheduled c-section!!

Week 35 Doctors Appointment

So, I had a doctors appointment at 8:30 this morning. When I got there I found out that my doc was out and I would be seeing a resident. First thing they did was weigh me and holy cow, I gained 6lbs in a week. How is that even possible! My blood pressure was fine though, so they just determined that I was retaining water. The resident checked me and I am now at a "strong" 3 and 85% effaced. I am still having contractions. She told me that really I could go into labor at anytime, all the stars were aligned. If the baby is born before 37 weeks, which will be next Wednesday, she will be a preemie, but she shouldn't have any major issues. I have had a hard time sleeping lately so they told me I could take some Tylenol PM, I can't wait to try it out tonight. I am still taking it easy and praying that she stays in there one more week!

Puppy Love!

We just love our pup!
