I was e-mailed some late photos from Natalie's school. Here they are on the last day of school and on their field trip.
On Father's Day weekend we had some professional photos taken with Jeff's family. Here are a few of the sneak previews.
After the photos we decided to have burgers and shakes at a place in Delano. Loved sharing a shake with Natalie, however, Julia thought sharing was a dumb idea and wanted her own.
After the photos we went swimming at the neighborhood pool. After swimming we found that Julia had a rash. On Sunday it was worse, so we had to take her to the ER. She had a rash called a petechial rash, which are pinpoint, round spots that appear on the skin as a result of bleeding under the skin. They were worried about her platelet count, but all was well with it. They ended up diagnosing her with HSP or Henoch–Schönlein purpura.
They had to start an IV to check her platelets so they put "Pixie Dust" on her which is a lotion that makes her skin go to sleep so she doesn't feel the IV stick. It was really fabulous.
She did great with the IV, but refused to look at it. Every time she did she said "Owie" it was too sweet. The nurses covered it with a towel.
We got home in time on Father's Day to take a couple of photos with Daddy.
Julia advanced to the big girls swimming class and here she is at her first one, without Mommy in the water with her!
The weather has been perfect for swimming. Here the girls are enjoying lunch before taking a swim in the neighborhood pool. Lucky ducks.
The girls found a stick in the yard to play with the other night.....or a dead tree branch. Either way, they had a good time dragging it around!
I love the new bracelet Julia made form me during a summer program at school.
Daddy and the girls playing legos.
Maximus the Mess-a-Muss
Kendra and her boys came over to eat lunch and played a little on the playset. It was so sweet to see them interacting with the girls.
After the playset it was time to hit the pool. Julia checked out the boys' goggles.
I love this photo of all our kids together.
After swimming with the boys, the girls had their last session of swimming and received their completion certificates.
Max is so little when he is on the deck he can sit on the bricks on our window sill.
The last day of the summer program at school the girls hosted a tea party for the mom's. It was really adorable.
After the tea party we met our friends for lunch for more swimming fun at Mi Mi's pool.
After all that swimming we had to cool off.
And because we can't go a weekend without visiting the ER, Julia was diagnosed with an allergy to her antibiotic. So, if you are keeping score, you can add an allergy to the medicine group cephalosporin. This photo doesn't do the rash justice. It looked like she was wearing a purple mask on her eyes. Poor baby
On Saturday we celebrated Aunt Suzanne's birthday.
On Sunday Jeff and I went to the Rhodes Red Angus auction. It was really interesting and fun!
