Record Setting Post

I think this might be the longest blog post I have ever done. So many things have happened the past two weeks. There were some great things and some tragic things.

On September 23, I took the girls to their very first pep rally. My cousin Chelsey was up for Homecoming Queen. I think I have already posted about this once, but I forgot that I had some other photos on my other camera. Anyway, here the girls are enjoying the fun.

Chelsey is top left.

Julia was mesmerized.

And here is a group shot after Chelsey's skit. It was too cute.

On Tuesday, September 27, Pa Pa James came into town. He brought with him Natalie's birthday presents and she thought they were pretty great! Here she is with her new Uno game.

And here she is opening her new dress up clothes...so excited!!

And here she is putting them on!

Natalie and her Pa Pa. I love this photo.

After dinner we have been going outside to play because the weather has been so wonderful!

Here is Julia trying to help Jeff fix Natalie's tire.

And of course Julia had to give it a spin!

The girls hanging out in the back of Pa Pa's truck, which was their favorite thing to do.

Natalie with ice from the ice chest. She thought it was better than candy!

Julia just hanging out in the back of the truck.

We are so very blessed with great neighbors. This is Julia with her new friend Paige. They moved in a cross the street from us. They also have another child, Tye. He is Natalie's age. We know them from PAT and it was so exciting to have them move in!

Natalie on her bike. She is so good at riding it now!

Dad took this photo of Natalie blowing bubbles and I just love it!

Julia has never really loved on babies, but I caught her snuggling on this one!

Dad and the girls watching videos on his computer.

We decided to play Uno with Natalie. She hates to loose, it was too funny. Even when Dad tried to let her win, she would look and see what he had!

Dad and Julia on the new big wheel he got her.

For Natalie's birthday Jeff and I got her a sand table. We even found pink sand, which is her favorite color in case you haven't heard!

Getting it ready!

Natalie and Julia enjoying the sand!

Jeff and Julia on a walk. She loves pushing her stroller.

Abbie came over the other day and the two girls rode their bikes. They are getting so big!

Not sure I need to comment on all this, so here we are, at the pumpkin patch.

Heading to the patch to find the perfect pumpkins!

Love Julia's belly here!

Poor Julia got a little too much sun at the pumpkin patch, but it was a wonderful day!! Can't wait until next year!!

Of course with Dad in town we went and saw Nonie. I am not sure why Natalie looks mad here, she was having a great time. It was so good to see her!

Julia cashed out on the way home from Salina. I love how she has her legs crossed!

On Wednesday, October, 5th, Natalie and her class had an on site pumpkin patch!

Here they are heading out to the patch!

On Wednesday, October 5, Jeff called and said that he was working late. I was thinking, great, I am going to make pancakes for dinner and just have a laid back night. Right when I was going to put the batter on the griddle, I heard Julia scream. I came around the corner in the kitchen and saw her laying under the kitchen bar stool. I couldn't get her to quit crying so I decided to call 911. They arrived and observed her and told me that they would watch her for any signs of head trauma. They didn't see any need to transport. I called Jeff and had him come home and had my mom come over. We decided that taking Julia to the hospital over here would be the best decision. They did a CT Scan and informed us that she had a frontal bone fracture and was going to be transported to the larger hospital down town. When we got there the trauma doctors looked at her and they told us that the fracture was not putting any pressure on her brain and seemed stable, but they wanted to admit us to PICU for the night for monitoring. I was terrified and couldn't believe this was happening to my baby. The next morning we saw the trauma doc and the neurosurgeon and they gave us a clean bill of health and we headed home. She will be healing for the next 6 weeks, but shouldn't have any lasting effects, thank heavens!

Julia and I getting comfortable for the night. Silly me to think there would be any sleep in the PICU!

Julia having a drink and a snack around 11pm.

Julia finally asleep for the first time, at around 1:30am. She fell asleep with me singing to her and watching Dance Mom's! Shortly after I took this photo an alarm went off and they had to wake her up and check all her leads.

Having another snack at around 3:30am.

Mommy and Julia spending some time together. I love how we both have bed head.

Yea, Daddy brought breakfast!

So, this is a photo of Julia on Thursday, the 6, after we got her home. Poor thing.

Still smiling! Love that girl!

This is her poor head on the 7th.

And here is her sweet little head and now check on the 9th.

Of course I got a great shot of Natalie too.

We are all still healing, but thanking God everyday that our sweet Julia is OK. We are praying for her continued healing and good health.

Here are the little girls helping me make cake balls. I have had lots of trial runs before Natalie's birthday next weekend!

This next week is going to be super busy. Natalie's birthday party and birthday are coming up along with some new family photos! I can't wait!!

Puppy Love!

We just love our pup!
