ECC Celebration

As the end of the school year approaches, it is time for all the fun parties! Last night was the Early Childhood Center's party. Always a lot of fun. It was super windy and we are paying for it today with our allergies, but it was a good time.

Here Natalie is fishing. She wants to go for real and PaPa James is taking her when he comes into town. We will see how it goes. Not sure it will be her speed.

We also let Natalie get a tattoo. Here she is sporting her pig.

As I said it was super windy. Natalie, who insisted on wearing a skirt, was a little chilly waiting in line, so Daddy played the role of wind blocker. Good thing I had a blanket in the car. They are waiting in line for the pony rides.

And here we are, on our pony, in a skirt.

Also, here is a little video of the pony ride.

When we got home and I was brushing Julia's teeth I noticed that her top left molar was peeking through! Yea!

Thanks MiMi!

To a a kid without food allergies mac and cheese is a staple. To a kiddo with a dairy food allergy, it doesn't exist. Until now. MiMi found a brand new dairy and nut free macaroni and cheese that actually tasted good! I heated it up and gave it to Julia. She also agreed that it is something we should have more often!! And yes, there is a shameless plug of the product. It really was good. I can't wait to see what else they have! I am so happy that Julia and Natalie can now share a bowl of mac and cheese! Ahh...the little things.

Food Allergy Awareness Week

It is Food Allergy Awareness Week! When I was on the website there was a great video about a boy with food allergies, so I decided to make Julia one.

Happy Mother's Day!

Monday, May 9th

Today was blazing hot! I think we got up to 100. I decided it was time to break out the new water table. It was Julia's present from my mom for her birthday. I think they really like it, but the water was really cold!

This year we have a nest in the front and a nest in the back. Tonight I noticed that the eggs in the back had hatched! The little birds were hungry and so cute! I think I am going to get out my zoon lens and take some more photos of them as they grow!

I just love close ups of Natalie. I think she has such striking features.

Earlier in the day Lyndsie and Hadley came over to play. I snapped this photo of Julia and I think she looks like a model striking a pose.

I think she has finally decided that walking is the best way to get around. She is so funny when she is doing it, trying to keep her balance and all.

Sunday, May 8th

Mother's Day was a little hectic this year. Early Sunday morning, about 1:45am, Natalie woke up with a fever. She was miserable and didn't settle back down until 6. Julia decided to wake up about every hour, so to say the least we were exhausted before the day even began. I got her to immediate care and found out that she had double ear infections. We got her some medication and headed back home. She stayed in bed most the day and finally at around 6 she started acting normal again. It was great to just stay in the house with everyone, but I was glad that by the end of the day she was feeling better. I finally got some photos of the girls in the evening!

Julia has learned that some of the toys in the basement are meant to ride on!

Sweet big sister Natalie showing Julia how to ride on the Rody's.

Julia loves to give full on kisses! Too sweet.

Me and my girls.

I thought both girls would feel better if they had a nice bath before bed. I just love babies and their naked chunky legs!

Super Saturday

So, today was a very fun filled day, starting bright and early. We got up and headed to eat donuts and then headed to the YMCA for Natalie's first dance class. Her friend Abbie is also in the class. I think it was one of the cutest things I have ever seen and it was the first class that she didn't cry during. Maybe she will even want to go again next week!

Here are a couple of videos from the class.

After dance class Natalie invited Abbie over to play for a little bit. The two girls really do get along well together. Here they are playing in Natalie's room.

When Emily came to get Abbie, she brought me a little gift for Mother's Day. Julia even liked it and I plan to put it to good use!

Julia knows that her Easter basket is on the hutch and if she talks you into showing her the birds, it is possible that you then might have to get her the basket. What she doesn't understand is that once you eat the candy out of the eggs, there isn't any more. Unless of course you have mom that keeps refilling them for you.

Natalie couldn't wait until tomorrow to give me my cards for Mother's Day. I guess she picked it out all by herself. Of course it talks, because all good cards do, right? Anyway, they are super sweet. She also picked me out a pink balloon. Tonight Jeff and I went to get organizers for the kitchen, tomorrow we install. Happy Mother's Day to me!

Julia's Chair

Dad got Natalie and Julia rocking chairs for Christmas. Julia can now climb in and out of her chair and she is super proud of herself. She does try to stand in it, so you have to watch her pretty close!

Jumping Little Julia

Julia wants to be just like the big girls, so it didn't take her long to figure out how to climb on the trampoline and jump. She does have a crayon that is distracting her a little bit and one of our little guests needs to use the potty, but I think you can get the idea.

Beautiful Day at the Park

Today after preschool we met Abbie and the babies at the park for a picnic. The day was wonderful 71 with a gentle breeze. The girls had a great time eating their lunch on the blanket, but couldn't wait to go play.

We even let the babies swing for a little bit. It was Ethan's first time and the first time that Julia really enjoyed it. Ethan fell asleep, so I think he enjoyed it too!

And here are a couple video's of the kids.

I love the spring weather.

Finally, photos and videos from my phone!

Jeff got my videos and photos off my phone tonight. I am super excited, but man, some of these are from a long time ago! Oh well, better late than never!

December 9, 2010
It was a nice winter day and I took the girls for a walk. I got this photo of Julia in her hat, which is super cute!

On a cold day in January I decided to be brave and let Natalie enjoy an ice cream cone in her car seat. I have to say that she did great and there wasn't even a mess to clean up when we got home!

On an even colder day in January, I bundled Natalie up to go play in the snow. I just love the girls in their hats!

Every Saturday Natalie and I go and eat donuts. It is just a little special time that we can spend together. Now, she is the only one eating donuts as I am on a milk free diet!

Julia started pulling up at the beginning of February and I think this is one of the first photos. 2-11-2011

In March Julia had her first ride in a swing.

Julia and Natalie on St. Patty's Day

Abbie and Natalie enjoying a day at the zoo without the babies.

In April Natalie also started a cheer leading class. Here she is, she's in yellow.

Little princesses or little Diva's I am not sure yet....

At Easter Natalie had to make an egg for Pa Pa James when we were making egg's as place-settings, she is so sweet.

My favorite photo to date of my two girls. Totally shows their personality. We were at McDonalds eating. 4-26-2011.

And now, here are some video's from my phone too! Yea! I think they look pretty good for being taken with a phone!

2-01-11 - Here is Natalie spelling Target!

4-14-2001 - Here is Julia standing for the first time, at least I think we got it.

And here she is the same night eating blueberries. I think she could eat a truckload of them.

Puppy Love!

We just love our pup!
