10 Months Old!

Natalie is 10 months old today. I can't believe it. Here are her 10 month photos. We had them done at Sears and I think they turned out pretty good. My Dad and brother were in town this weekend and we had a great time hanging out with them. It is so nice to be able to spend time with them.

Photos

On Sunday, we went to my cousin Cassie's daughters second birthday. Her name is Jordan and she is just too funny. Below are a couple of photos of her. One, she is showing off her new tennis outfit. I got her the too cute Nikes. In the next one she is wearing her new dress up shoes and trying to frantically changed into a Dora nightgown. She was so very entertaining. Below is Natalie enjoying the festivities.

Jeff's sister, Suzanne, stop by Sunday afternoon to eat lunch with us and celebrate her very belated 30th birthday. Even though Natalie was a grump, I think she enjoyed seeing her Aunt Suzanne!

This is Natalie trying cheese for the first time. Jeff and I love cheese and now Natalie is a cheese snob too...she is eating Gouda here. :)

Below is Natalie enjoying Saturday morning, eating breakfast and with her daddy!

I love this little outfit on Natalie. If you can't tell, I am a fan of the pink and brown combo!

We also celebrated Uncle Jared's birthday last week. He made his own birthday dinner and it was fantastic!

This is Natalie and her Doodle, Riley. She loves to chase her around.

This is Riley with stupid pink bows in her fur. She just looks ridiculous!!!

This past week was a little hard on the family. The daycare called Tuesday at 4:45 saying that Natalie had a fever of 102.5. I picked her up and took her to the immediate care center. They thought it was just a virus and would pass. She ran the fever all day Wednesday and Thursday. On Thursday I called the doc. The nurse said that if she was still running it on Friday to bring her in. She woke up Friday running a fever. I took her in and they once again said it was a virus. To cover all the bases I called her nephrologist and she wanted to do a u/a. We took her in and before I got back to work they called and told me she had an infection. :( So, now she is on an antibiotic and refusing to drink. She hasn't wanted to drink since Friday, not sure what is going on. We gave her fluid through a syringe on Sat to keep her hydrated, but she wasn't much into that on Sunday. She is also going to have another invasive test to check her kidney's and see why there might be an infection. That should happen next month. I plan on calling the nephrologist back tomorrow morning to chat with her about the fluid thing and tell her she is still running a fever. It was 100 on Sunday night. I guess the test they did showed a quick infection, but they let it grow out and should have more information on Monday. I am hoping there is more information available from it.

I am really tired. I know this isn't a life or death thing, but I just wish she didn't have to go through all of this. I hope next week she is feeling better.

This Weekend

So, on Friday I got a call from the daycare saying that Natalie had 3 loose stools and I needed to come and get her...ugg. I took her to the doctor and he said she had Rotavirus. So, he put her on clear liquids for 24 hours and then only bananas, carrots and apples for the next 24. Tonight she finally got to have real food - she was pretty excited.
It really wasn't too bad, we only had one accident and it was in the bath tub...yuck. Of course Jeff was gone and the tub was full of toys. I didn't even know what to do with the toys so I just threw everything out. Oh well, at least she hasn't let it affect her mood, she has been just as happy as ever.
Natalie has been pulling up on everything and now she crawls with things in her hands. So, her crawling on our hardwood floors with things in her hands can be a bad combination. Note the photo below, OUCH! Two goose eggs in one day. It was terrible. Mom warned me that there were many more to come.

Since the day she was born Natalie has thought she was older than she really was. So, now when I go to the grocery store she has to help me put up groceries. I mean, come on, she is only 9.5 months old and already is bossing me around! :) Isn't she cute though? She loves to help in the refrigerator the most.

We have started to give Natalie some finger foods now. I think she is still cutting her top teeth. This is Jeff giving her some "stars" corn puffed things and some peas. She doesn't do very well with the peas and doesn't seem to like the stars very much!

Nine Months Old Today

I can't believe Natalie is nine months old today. She is getting to be such a big girl. It has been so amazing to watch her grow and discover new things.
So, we started sleep training on Tuesday night. It was terrible. A 45 minute battle with Ms. Natalie. She still woke up 4 times. On Wednesday night, it was much easier to put her down, maybe 20 minutes and she slept from 6:40-7:20 - not waking up once! Last night she went down in about 10 minutes and slept from 6:40-6:45. She did wake up once, but Jeff got her back down in 5 minutes. I did hear her get up a couple times, but she soothed herself right back to sleep. It has been a hard week, but I think we all are getting more sleep and doing better! At least I am not falling asleep at my desk!
Have a good weekend!

This past week

So, on Thursday afternoons Natalie gets to go to My Gym. She loves it. Mom went with me this week to see what it was all about. I never really noticed, but Natalie is the brute of her class! She crawls right up to the other kids, "talks" right in their faces and crawls after them. She really has no fear. She was especially fond of a girl named Eloise, who is 3 months older. She follows her everywhere! It is so funny. I brought it up at daycare and the teacher said that she is really starting to hold her own. I didn't realize it, but her class is full of boys! Hmmm...that sheds some light on the My Gym experience.

This is Natalie's favorite toy at the gym. It has a huge bell in it and is really loud!

Natalie and her friend Eloise sharing toys. HA!

Mommy and Natalie playing songs.

Natalie crawling through the tunnel!

Natalie chasing Eloise, but getting sidetracked a little with Ellie on the ball.

Natalie just a swinging!

Natalie being just super cute with her new trick!

New Videos

It has been a while since I have blogged anything to do with Natalie. It has been crazy around here. I hurt my back and got a summer cold...yuck! I also had to travel for work last week. I did stop and see Cleo and she is adorable!! I can't even remember Natalie when she was that little. Hmmm....I am not sure she ever was that little! :)

Ms. Natalie has decided to quit sleeping at night. We started sleep training last night, not cry it out, but something else. Tonight seems to be a little better, but it is still early. I did have time to load a couple of videos while she was sleeping.

The first one is Natalie playing with a bib. She loves to shred things....anything....paper, napkins and even her bib. Lucky for me her bib can't be torn. She makes this really funny noise too, like hiya! It is too funny.

The second video is a video of the famous NAKED BABY!!! Notice she is so excited that she can't even crawl right. She even topples over once. Daddy having the camera out throws her off a little, but she has to be the cutest baby ever.

Time to TV Vent

How do you go from this:

TO THIS??:

AND WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THIS?

If you can't tell I thought Deanna's decision was way off base. I mean, I guess if you like unemployed children who snowboard for a living then you could be truly happy. WHATEVER! Poor Jason, what a good catch that got away. I think Deanna will be calling him in about a year.

I do love to hear that Shane and Matt are doing good. I thought they were so cute.

Vote off to the side so I can see if anyone out there agrees with me!!

Happy Fourth of July!

I can't beleive it is the fourth of July. Time just flies by. We went to GP today. It was fun. I think Natalie enjoyed her first parade and she did just great! She even took an hour and a half nap, pictured above. Mommy and Daddy got a nap too! We did cook out and eat home made ice cream, so it was a pretty typical American fourth. We had to get home to put Natalie to bed, but Jeff and I watched some amazing fireworks off the deck tonight. Man, people sure have a lot of money to burn! Literally! :)

Puppy Love!

We just love our pup!
