We've Been Busy!

You would think with the amount of time it has been since my last post that we have been up to a lot of fun things! Well, not really. We have been getting ready for Jeff to be out of town for a while, Julia and I have had a terrible head cold, Jeff's Dad is going to have to have heart surgery in Cleveland so we have been planning that too! We also have been getting ready for some house guests and have been doing a little spring cleaning. I do have a couple of photos and videos from the past week or so.

We moved the slide upstairs because Julia is such a climber. She loves it and of course does it her own way.

Julia has stared to use a fork. It is hilarious because she will stab the food and then take it off the fork with her other hand.

To try and keep her eczema under control I tried wet wrapping. It is wet socks and a set of dry socks. She looked so funny in them I had to get a photo.

Abbie came over to play the other day and her and Natalie had a great time!

The Fourth Part 2

My cousin Connie was nice enough to shoot some photos of Natalie while she was at her 4th of July celebration with Mi Mi. So, because I wasn't there, this is my best guess as to what was going on!

Looks like Natalie is having fun with some poppers!

This is the first time that she has ever seen snakes!

Hmmmm, not sure about Mom letting her have a match.

Her first sparkler! Mom said that she was a natural and listen to directions very well!

Happy Fourth!

Happy Fourth of July!! With the passing of my grandparents earlier in the year, I have to admit that I was dreading the holiday. Mom was still going out to Garden Plain to celebrate, but I couldn't do it. Not yet. So, Mom took Natalie out to Garden Plain and Julia hung back at the house.

I really wanted a photo of the two girls before Natalie left, but it was Julia's nap time and she just wasn't having it.This is as good as it got.

This is Natalie sporting her shirt that my family made in honor of my grandparents. I think she will be wearing it as PJ's.

While Natalie was in Garden Plain we went to a BBQ at our neighbors house. We fed Julia before we left, but she enjoyed some fruit and sweets. She loves the Camelback water jugs. Here she is taking a little drink.

Jeff stayed to hang out with the neighbors and I headed back to the house to put Julia to bed. This is the worst video, but she was laughing so hard when I was changing her diaper and kissing her neck I had to try and catch it. She is just growing up way too fast!!

Natalie did not get home until 11:30. She was really tired, but needed a quick shower. We didn't want to get her hair wet so she sported my shower cap. She is much cuter in it than I am!

Trying to find things to do when it is 100 out can get a little old, so we resorted back to plain old coloring. Natalie is getting better and better at staying in the lines and coloring. We let Julia color for the first time, not sure if she liked the coloring or trying to eat the colors better.

Julia is such a great eater. I love the faces that she makes. I am not sure how much stuff she can stick in her mouth at once, but I bet she could enter a competition.

Summer Fun

Julia got this roll-along for her birthday and she is just figuring out how to use it. She gets really angry when she runs it into something and has to walk backwards. It is pretty funny. As you can see by her face, she thinks it is pretty fantastic. Thanks Marty!

MiMi always comes up with the best ideas.

This morning was so nice we headed to the park bright and early before it got hot. This was Julia's first real time at the park and she thought it was a great place to be. She jumped right in there with the big girls.

Here is one of Julia's first trips down the slide.

Not to be outdone by the girls, Ethan had to take his turn.

Julia enjoying one of the toys.

We went to the pool the other day and once again it was a hit.

We took Aunt Suzanne out for her birthday and Natalie was kind enough to help feed Julia some of her coconut yogurt. What a great big sister.

Fourth of July was one of the best memories for our family. It won't be the same without my Grandparents. So, my Aunt had a great idea to make some t-shirts in memory of them. This is what they will look like. I thought they turned out pretty great.

I found this cute dress at Kohl's and added Natalie's name to it for her to wear on the fourth. Of course, because it is a dress. She loves it.

Nothing Special

We have been busy as summer is kicking into high gear, but not really doing anything super special.

The other night we gave Julia her very first chocolate ice cream bar. Sure, it was made with coconut milk, but she still enjoyed it!

I am in love with my new sewing machine and decided to adorn the swimsuit cover-up's. Natalie's got a Tinkerbell and Julia's got flip-flops. I think they turned out really cute!

My sassy girl. She should be a model.

As always, Julia is all about climbing. Now, she loves to take the stool and reach things she couldn't reach before!

And she still doesn't understand that the little items (wagons and strollers) are made for baby dolls, bot Julia's.

Natalie and her friends have their own ride on toys and Julia always wants to join in. I got her this little ride on at Target and she is just crazy about it. I put it under the cart and when she saw it she had to have it. She sat on it every time we stopped. She cracks me up!

Pretty sure there is nothing cuter than a baby sleeping with their butt in the air!

Today was a beautiful day so we decided to take out for the zoo!
Here the girls are at the end of the outing, hot and tired!

They are so cute! This is right before Julia fell down and scraped her knee.

I took Natalie and Abbie to feed the giraffes and when I got back Julia acted like she wanted to go. I took her up there and she was such a big girl!! She did it the first time and kind of screeched because she was scared. She let me feed the giraffe one more time and then she wanted to. I let her have the leaf and she gave it to the giraffe and just laughed!

This was the first time that she really saw the tigers too. She thought they were great, but really loved the little boy who was having snacks in a stroller that was close by.

Emily brought yummy cookies for the big girls!

Puppy Love!

We just love our pup!
