Dad came in town last Wednesday and we were all super excited to see him!! We have had a great time hanging out with him. Thursday Dad took us up to the Carter's Outlet and got the girl's some great summer wear! Friday we had a great play date with Abbie and Ethan. Saturday was dance and donuts!
Here are Dad and Natalie at the donut shop.
On Sunday we went to see Nonie. It is always great to see her and she always looks the same. Natalie was glad to see her and it didn't take long for Julia to warm up to her.

Nonie's neighbors were using their slip and slide and Natalie thought that she wanted to join them. Of course Nonie had a swim suit for Natalie so she gave it a shot. She enjoyed running on it and Nonie tried to get her to slide, but it wasn't happening. Maybe next time.

Julia loves hanging out on the deck with Dad. She has a water table that she plays with and she loves to take the balls from it and throw them down the stairs. I don't think Dad loves going to get them...
I love this photo of Dad and Julia.
Here Dad is messing with Julia by taking her paci from her again and again.
Julia has fabulous fashion sense, don't you think?
Dad and Julia just being goofy.
I was trying to get a photo of Dad with both girls and this is what I got!
This weekend was hectic and fun all at the same time! On Friday I took Abbie and Natalie to the zoo for a PJ party. They are supposed to wear pajamas, but it was so cold that they were wearing coats! Here they are doing the art and craft part. This class was about ears, so they are making elephant ears to wear.
On Saturday we had Dance class. MiMi and PaPa surprised Natalie by coming to watch. She sure enjoyed performing for them! She made sure that they were looking when she was dancing. I still think this is one of the cutest things I have ever seen. Natalie is so into it. She is even wearing a leotard today.
Here is Julia watching Natalie dance while enjoying some cereal on MiMi's lap.

So, Saturday afternoon and Sunday, we finally got around to installing the organization drawers in the kitchen. It was my Mother's Day present, but since Natalie was sick, they are just now getting done. Julia loved to sit in the baskets before Daddy put them on the runners.
Jeff sure did work hard to make my present perfect!! Thanks honey!!
Here is the finished island. Amazing!!
And here is the dreaded cookie sheet cabinet! I love it!!
While we were working Julia went in to see Natalie and I think you can tell by her face that she isn't too excited about it. I pulled out her trundle bed to put a sheet on it and now she loves it. She told me she was ready for friends to spend the night. I am not sure that Mommy is ready for that!
On Sunday we decided to give the dairy free pizza's a try. We had three so we decided to see which was the best! First up was the Amy's Spinach and cheeze. Jeff thought it was gross, we made Natalie eat it and I thought it was OK. Next up was the Amy's no cheese veggie pizza. Jeff wouldn't try it because it had mushrooms and Natalie had had her fill, so it was just up to me. I thought it was great! I would buy it again and again. Last up was the Tofurky cheeze pizza. Jeff said that it was doable, but kind of weird. I tried it and didn't think it was bad. The texture of the cheeze was a little weird, but I think it was only weird because you expected it to be like dairy cheese.
For breakfast on Sunday, Julia had chocolate chip pancakes, which made for great hair gel.
Mom got Natalie this Donald duck animated stuffed animal for Easter. At first Julia was terrified of it, but now she loves it. She cracks up at it and chases it around. When you pick it up by its ears it says, "Put me down!" which she things is hilarious.
On Monday I checked the nest out front to find that 2 of the three eggs had hatched! The third had cracks and by 1 it was born. They are so cute and small! I can't believe that anything this small and helpless can survive!
As the end of the school year approaches, it is time for all the fun parties! Last night was the Early Childhood Center's party. Always a lot of fun. It was super windy and we are paying for it today with our allergies, but it was a good time.
Here Natalie is fishing. She wants to go for real and PaPa James is taking her when he comes into town. We will see how it goes. Not sure it will be her speed.
We also let Natalie get a tattoo. Here she is sporting her pig.
As I said it was super windy. Natalie, who insisted on wearing a skirt, was a little chilly waiting in line, so Daddy played the role of wind blocker. Good thing I had a blanket in the car. They are waiting in line for the pony rides.
And here we are, on our pony, in a skirt.
Also, here is a little video of the pony ride.
When we got home and I was brushing Julia's teeth I noticed that her top left molar was peeking through! Yea!
To a a kid without food allergies mac and cheese is a staple. To a kiddo with a dairy food allergy, it doesn't exist. Until now. MiMi found a brand new dairy and nut free macaroni and cheese that actually tasted good! I heated it up and gave it to Julia. She also agreed that it is something we should have more often!! And yes, there is a shameless plug of the product. It really was good. I can't wait to see what else they have! I am so happy that Julia and Natalie can now share a bowl of mac and cheese! Ahh...the little things.
