Fall Is Here!

Yea! It is finally time for the pumpkin patch! We got up early this morning and headed out for donuts before heading out. I took some photos of the girls before we left the house in case we couldn't get any good ones at the pumpkin patch. It was really windy and a little cold.

Here is Julia, just being sweet.

I am finally able to get a good photo of both girls!!

I am just in love with those ears and her grin!

We finally made it, we are loaded up and ready to head inside the gates.

It was a little windy and cold, so I bundled Julia up in her pumpkin hat (made by family friend Carol, a one of a kind) which is super cute and was a huge hit at the patch.

Natalie decided to ditch the stroller and hang out in the wagon with Abbie.

Seeing how Natalie measures up!

I always thought she would be a cute horse!

Natalie and Daddy going down the big slide. She didn't want to go by herself yet this year, maybe next year.

Here Natalie and I are enjoying the big pillow!

This is Natalie on the zip line platform. She wanted to go after she saw me go and they got her in the gear and up on the step and then they decided the gear didn't fit her right. Poor thing was so upset, but I was so proud of her, she usually is so very cautious, so this was WAY out of her comfort zone.

Julia still hanging out!

On the wagon on the way out to get our pumpkins. Julia is riding in the baby carrier on my chest.

Time to Catch Up!

Wow, it has been awhile since I have posted! We have been really busy here and really sick. I think we are all finally feeling a little better. Julia still has a little runny nose, but I think it might be teething. We were all down for about a week. It is nice to be feeling better again. When I took Julia to the doctor they weighed her and she weighed 14.9lbs and was 25 inches long.

I have also been trying desperately to give her a bottle and she won't take it at all. One night I put formula in it thinking maybe she would take that. She wouldn't even swallow it and anywhere the formula touched her skin she got hives, it was terrible. I guess she does have a milk allergy after all.

We moved Julia to her room mid month and she has done great. She is still in her swing with it on high and swaddled, but she is doing a lot better sleeping through the night.

We took Natalie and Julia to have their photos taken for Julia's 5 month. I got these dresses before Julia was even born and I love them. The girls did great and I think we got some fantastic shots of both of them!

We have started to let Natalie tape her art up on the wall so she can show it off. Well, I came in from outside and this is how she had taped it up. I am pretty sure she is a genius.

Below is first a photo of Natalie and then of Julia in an adorable John Deere outfit that PaPa James got Natalie. I still think they look like sisters, but not really alike.

I love this photo of Julia and Natalie.

So, before we went to the store the other day, I asked Natalie to get her shoes and socks on. This is what she came out in. Hmmm. I let her wear it to the store, but we did get some strange looks. What you can't see is that there is a Santa on both socks that light up. Great.

We ended up giving Natalie her birthday present a little early to take advantage of the nice weather. She loves to try and ride it, she just hasn't got the hang of it yet.

Here Julia is with her very first cold. Doesn't she just look miserable? Poor baby.

This past week Julia has been sitting all on her own. What a big girl. It was kind of funny. Mom was over and asked if she could sit up. I said that I didn't know, Julia kind of gets carried around a lot. So, I sat her down and let go, and there she was, just sitting all by herself! Man, they grow up way too fast.

Last Friday we had Carrie, Emily and her mom over for dinner. The next day Carrie was going in the hospital to have Chloe, well that was the plan anyway. Chloe had her own plan and labor started for Carrie late Friday night. Anyway, we had this cake for them and Natalie and Emily had a good time blowing the candles out.

I would like to introduce you to Chloe Elizabeth, Julia's first best friend. She was born on Saturday, September 25th and is just a doll!!

Here they are hanging out for the first time together.

It was time to get the fall and winter clothes out, washed in the girls closets as the weather is slowly starting to cool off. On the left is Natalie's pile and on the right is Julia's. Hmmm. I don't think they are lacking in the clothing area!!

We went to a neighborhood get together the other night and I dressed Julia up in this headband, which I am sure my Dad will love. It is so cute though, isn't it?

I love talking to Natalie. I love how you never know which direction the conversation is going to take you. See below for an example.

Natalie is a Daddy's girl most days. Here she isn't wanting him to leave for work and is insisting that she is blocking his way. Always in charge, that is my girl.

Pa Pa Don and his dog came over to play the other day and Natalie got such a kick out of it. I am sure you will see why.

Here is a little video of Julia sitting up. It was hard to get as Natalie wanted the camera to tape her and not Julia. Why is it when you want to get them on camera they won't have anything to do with it?!

Julia is a girl after my own heart. Here she is eating and really enjoying it as she is saying, "Mmmmm" after every bite! She was doing a great job on solids, but when she got sick I slacked off a little because she felt so bad and we are slowly moving back to them.

Labor Day and beyond...

Last Friday Jeff took the morning off work. The plan was to go and pick up Abbie (they did so much for us when I was pregnant with Julia, I felt like I haven't helped Emily at all!) and then head to the zoo or Tanganyika. Well, I forgot we had a home visit from the school and then Julia went down for a nap, so it was just me and the ladies. We had such a good time!! Here are some photos from the visit.

Natalie feeding the giraffe.

Natalie and Abbie petting the rabbits, or hop-hop's as Natalie calls them.

Natalie petting a goat.

Natalie and Abbie posing for a photo. I can't believe I got them both to sit still!

So, the other day when Natalie and I were shopping Natalie saw some butterfly wings in the Halloween section. I told her that Carrie had gotten her some wings and a skirt a long time ago. So, when we got home, I dug them out and Natalie has been fascinated with them ever since. She even talked about going as a butterfly for Halloween, except she already has a bunny outfit that she was planning to wear. So, now the question is, should she be a bunny or a butterfly? Vote and let us know. I did buy some black leotards to wear with the butterfly skirt, although I do like the heart shirt with it.

Here she is in her bunny costume.

I just love babies wrapped up in towels after a bath, there is something so darn cute about it!! We did try and give Julia oatmeal this weekend and we got the big I don't think so....hmmm...

On Tuesday Natalie had her very first day of preschool. Here she is with her Dorka backpack ready to go. I like how her hair looks like she has wings, I think she looks a little like Farrah Fawcett here, but it is just the wind. She was so excited to go that we left early and I just drove around until it was time to take her.

Natalie and her very proud Ma Ma!

Julia hanging out before we took Natalie to preschool.

So, this is Natalie at preschool. She loved it and didn't even cry or "Whaa" as she says. I think she will be ready to go back! After, we went and had lunch with Caden to celebrate a great first day! I even bought her an ice cream cone.

So, here is Natalie very excited that she now has butterfly wings on.

And here is the butterfly reading a book and being taped without knowing it.

And because you can never get enough baby giggles.

September 2 - 2010

Here are just a few shots from the last few days.

Here is Natalie after her nap. She always gets a snack and I was busy working on the computer and she told me she wanted crackers - hop, hop, crackers to be exact. I told her go ahead. So, I hear her in the snack drawer and I see her take the box of crackers to her room. Then I see her run out of her room and throw the box in the trash. Hmmm.....so I ventured into her room and found this. She is such a stinker.

Natalie's hair is the best. Both thick and thin and straight and curly. She also drools when she sleeps and sweats sometimes, so if we get a little drool, sweat and a good sleep we have some crazy morning hair.

I love this photo of Jeff reading to the girls. They are both loving it!

Here is Julia in her bath. Love those blue eyes. When she is in the bath she can now take her foot and put it in her mouth. It is so cute.

Can't resist taking a photo of a baby in a hat. She loves to sit with her feet crossed too. She does it all the time. It is so sweet. Natalie volunteered to be in a photo and I couldn't believe it. I love the photo of the two of them - Julia is sporting her big lip sad cry.

We just got Natalie's old stage out for Julia to play with and Natalie was showing her how it works. It was so cute.

Puppy Love!

We just love our pup!
