Vacation Post - Monday, July, 15

On Monday we sadly left the Simmons house. Jami and I took the kids to the Children's Museum and the guys took off to Nasa. The Museum is incredible and the kids loved it. We could have spent two days there.

Right outside the museum.

One of the first things to do once you get inside is visit a make believe city. It was amazing! The kids got to take turns being in control and pretending to be all kinds of people.

On of the favorite stops was the ambulance.

Here the girls are routing all the emergency vehicles.

And this is the only time I better see these two in the back of a police cruiser!

This is the girls editing film footage at the TV station.

We also loved the grocery store, shopping and checking out!

Here the girls are at the local veterinarian.

I think the favorite place in the town was the restaurant. The got to take orders, cook and serve! It was awesome. I even got to eat some "dead fish"!

After the pretend restaurant we were ready for some real food!

After lunch we headed outside to the water zone!

Building boats.

Racing boats.

Making a drain cyclone.

Connecting tubes to change the direction on the water.

Making waves!

Time to throw a small fit.

Trying to figure out the maze.

Inside the patio where there was lots to learn about bugs!

Back inside the museum we hit the puzzles next.

How strong are we? Can we lift our own weight? Nope, not yet!

Magnet fun!

Who doesn't love a little golf ball fun?

And our last stop at the museum included a little hut, with a pretend pond to fish in. It was a hit.

After the museum we loaded up and headed to Galveston! After a driving through a major rain storm, we finally made it!

And here is our hotel! We stayed at Moody Gardens and it was wonderful!

After checking into our rooms, loosing a car key, cell phone and a couple of husbands, we finally made it to the beach!

And of course there had to be a potty break. Good think we brought the porta potty!

We stayed at the beach forever and I am glad that we did, it was the only time it wasn't raining!! But, I think we got enough wave jumping, shell finding, sand castle building and running on the sand to last at least a year. It was so much fun.

After the beach we headed to a late dinner.

The girls tried key lime pie for the first time. Natalie was not a fan, Julia was.

Ella just wanted to go to bed....

Puppy Love!

We just love our pup!
