Tanganika Field Trip with Julia

Julias end of school field trip was to Tanganika. It is such a fun little interactive zoo. It was only 50 that day so it was a little cold.

Here is the educational class.

Checking out a farret.

And petting the farret!

Petting an armadillo.

Feeding a giraffe!

And feeding the birds!

I think Jeff was mistaken for a tree!

Feeding bunnies!

By the white tiger.

Happy Mother's Day!

I had a fabulous Mother's Day! The girls (and Jeff) decorated the basement, had me wear a cape, gave me presents and let me sleep in! Yea!!

Here is one of my sweet notes!

And for dinner I wanted the ridiculous bacon wrapped pizza. And yes, it was awesome!

Mom came over the next day and the girls gave her their gifts. They each gave her a shirt and then they both gave her a hear with "I love you" on one side and "Mi Mi" on the other. The girls had their own handwriting scanned in to create the heart.

Spring School Photos

May Memories!

Our friends lost their mom/mom-in-law/grandma this month. To celebrate her we dedicated a day to wear teal, her favorite color!

The girls and friends after school enjoying a snow cone.

I found this "book" in Natalie's folder. It just cracked me up.

Julia's First Piano Recital

Julia had her first piano recital this morning. It was just adorable. They played Hot Cross Buns and Merrily We Roll Along.

Getting ready!

Here they go!

Julia also got an award for practicing, coming to class and always remembering her materials.

Julia and her instructor Mr. Elmore.

After the recital.

Playing.

Getting called up to get her award.

With her "bust" award.

Max

Max is such an awesome little dog, with lots of personality. I just had to share some recent photos of him. He cracks me up!

Max sleeping.

Selfies with Max!

Super Max, with his cape while being pulled in a wagon. Poor little dude.

Spring Fun!

Natalie got a new loft bed for her birthday last year and her ceiling fan wasn't going to work so we finally got her new chandelier hung. It is so cute!

Julia has had so much fun playing with all her new birthday toys!

Natalie's friend, Acacia, celebrated her 7th birthday with a tea party!

And it was a day filled with mixed emotions when we traded in the Azera for a new Ford truck!

The day we bought the truck we had a wicked storm roll through! We got done just in time!

Natalie has become so interested in reading it is awesome! She has even started her first book series, The Never Girls. This is book one of many and she just got done reading it!

I decided it was time the girls had some real chores!

Sometimes I find the cutest things. While cleaning Julia's room I found this note from Natalie.

Julia's school has a Kentucky Derby day. The have a lot of fun with it and even get to wear hats. Here is Julia's.

They go all out at gym. They have stands, a race and even mint juleps, minus the alcohol of course.

Here are the girls in her class showing off their hats.

And here is her class with their teacher in the stand.

And here is the mint julep cheers!

The girls getting ready to run for the roses!

And guess who the winner was!

Julia got a new microphone for her birthday, so now she and Natalie can really get after it. Here they are preforming Katy Perry's Roar.

Puppy Love!

We just love our pup!
