Vacation Post - Saturday, July 20

And it was finally time to load up and head back to Kansas. Dad met us at the hotel before we took off to see the girls on last time. They love playing around in his truck and eating ice out of the chest.

Somewhere along the way we stopped to eat at Wendy's.

And we stopped to get caffeine for Mommy and Daddy.

And we stopped at a McDonalds for ice cream.

And these are the faces of two kiddos that did AMAZING the entire way home. They were great. This is their "we rocked this car ride" pose!

And these are the beautiful flowers my mom had at the house for us when we got home. I thin she missed us a little! It was great to be gone, but it is always good to be home!

Vacation Post - Friday, July 19

We finally made it to Austin! We started the morning with a trip to Dad's office.

Sitting in Pa Pa's chair.

Posing by the moose head, I mean, doesn't everyone have a moose head in their office?

Playing ring-a-round the rosie.

Running to find Pa Pa.

After a tour we headed to Barton Springs for a quick swim. The water was great and we had a lot of fun.

After swimming we met up for lunch where Julia had an epic melt down. It was terrible. I wish we could have spent the entire afternoon with my family, but no, this is what the kids needed. I don't think it hurt the parents one bit either.

After an afternoon nap, we were ready for dinner! We met up with everyone and the girls even got to feed a ton of turtles. It was amazing how many there were!

After dinner we headed back to the house. Julia got to meet Samantha and we took some family photos. It was just nice to sit around and catch up.

Yep, the horse is still hanging with us!

Vacation Post - Thursday, July 18

And we made it to Sea World! We couldn't wait to see the big fish!

First up was the Shamu show!

Jeff and Julia at the show.

After Shamu we headed to see the dolphins and the beluga whale.

The kiddos were entranced!

After the shows we thought we would let the kids cool off in the Sesame Street Splash Zone.

Along with the splash park they had some kiddie rides and the girls were super excited!

The carousel is always a winner!

And then they decided they wanted to go on the roller coaster.

We rode it a few times!

And next was the crazy fish ride.

Little video of the crazy fish ride.

And next Big Bird's Nests

A little Sesame Street show.

And a little drop ride.

While the kiddie rides were fine and good, Julia was ready to try some of the bigger ones. In fact she wanted to try one of the biggest ones she could see. Journey to Atlantis. It consists of a boat the goes down a 10 story drop into a bunch of water. She thought it looked amazing. Good thing she learned at the kiddie rides how to tell if she was tall enough to ride!

The before photo.

It is hard to see, but they are in the middle. Jeff is the one in the white shirt and he has a girl on either side.

And the after photo. Both girls were crying. One because she hated it. The other because she wanted to go again and Jeff told her no. I will let you guess who was who and yes, Jeff went again.

It was a long, hot and tiresome day, but it was also fantastic. Lots of memories made and time spent together. I hate that we are so done in this photo, but at least I got a family one!

We loaded up and headed to Austin!

Puppy Love!

We just love our pup!
