One of the life changing things that happened this summer was my brother, Jared, moved to Salt Lake City, Utah to be with his girlfriend. It was bittersweet!! We wish them well!! Here we are at their good-bye party.
Tragically and suddenly, my very best friend, Kendra, lost her mom to a very acute Leukemia. I was blessed to be able to spend her last days with her and her family. She fell ill in Springfield and Jeff and my Mom pitched in so I could go and be with her. I am still in shock that it happened. You just never know what is going to happen tomorrow.
When I called the girls it was always a production. Here is a screen shot of our video chat as an example.
A few girlfriends helped me too when we were back and planning her funeral. Here is Julia at her friend, Hadley's house. Her Mom sent me these photos and I thought they were too cute!
Natalie and Julia have a love/hate relationship with bugs. Here they are currently loving a grasshopper.
Natalie and Julia went to a school jumpstart session and Julia was sad to learn that her friend Nile will be going to a different school next year!
Julia received a certificate for completing the most number of work jobs in one week. She did 18. The closest to her was 12. She is amazing!
And Natalie was a champ at the dentist getting sealants on her back teeth.
Julia had a play date and she was playing therapy dog. The purple cardigan is her "vest" to show people she was working. Too cute.
And we couldn't leave Julia out! She scored a new-to-her bed!
I even got a night away to celebrate Amy's birthday!
We had a playdate with the Coutures and couldn't believe how tall Emily had gotten!! These girls are goring up so fast!
Our friends had an end of summer party and here are all the girls jumping in. The are too funny!!
And even more exciting news....Julia graduated speech!! Yea!!
We went to a local pottery store and painted some items just for fun!
There has been so much going on this summer!! Some good, some great and some heartbreaking. I can't believe the school year is right around the corner. We aren't done with summer yet though!!
