Julia's Birthday Party Week!

The week of Julia's birthday party was crazy! There was so much to do and we even threw in a couple of extras! Mid week we decided to go to the ranch. Pa Pa was working cows and I thought Julia would enjoy it. I was right. She sat for 2 hours and watched them work the cows! Crazy girl. Mi Mi also got some treats for the cows so they would come up close to the girls and they even got to pet a couple. While we were there Julia stepped in a huge fresh pile of poop. She was too funny because she wiped it off with her finger and then smeared it on her shirt! She also wouldn't put any weight on the foot that had the shoe with poop on it. She cracks me up. Of course princess Natalie didn't have any interest in seeing the cows, but enjoyed staying at the house playing dress up with Mi Mi.

On Friday Adam and Danielle came into town and we decided to have a night out! It was fun, but I remembered on Saturday why I don't do it very often!!

Sunday morning we participated in an event called Jog 4 A Paws. It benefits kids with special needs by helping with the cost of a therapy dog. This year my cousin Braden was the child that was being helped! Carrie and the girls came along with us too! It was a lot of fun, but a little chilly!

Ready, set, go!!

Yea! We made it a mile!!

Later that afternoon we finally got to have Julia's second birthday party! We had a petting zoo and a face painter and lots of goodies to eat. The weather was nice, but there was a little wind. Oh well, we do live in Kansas!!

Julia's cake. I was totally in love with it. She also loved all the animals on it.

Yummy cookies. I asked the baker to make the cookies more girly and I think she did!

Munchies.

We gave everyone a blanket so they could have a picnic in the backyard.

Carrots and ranch.

Condiments.

3 types of sandwiches - cut into farm animal shapes.

Mixed fruit cups.

Goody bags for the kids.

Kids enjoying the petting zoo.

Julia and Chloe petting the duck, Chloe's favorite!

Julia is petting the bun-bun!

I love this photo. I think that Julia is yelling, "Goat!" to try and get him to wake up.

I am not sure what these two are looking at, but I love it!

Yum! Time for some food!

Getting our face painted. She ended up with a cow on one side and a duck on the other!

Opening our gifts! Julia got great things from all her family and friends!!

Julia got a KU Bag which she loved. Of course anything with a bird on it is a winner.

This gift is a tricycle, from uncle Jared. I love her expression as she sees what it is. She actually said, "Bike! Yea!"

Time for some cake!

I tried to give her the top of the cake, but she insisted on the piece with the bun-bun.

Just hanging out. Jared is insisting on an under dog from Mi Mi.

Natalie loving on Mi Mi.

Julia got this puzzle and was making the animal sounds. It was hilarious!

Julia and Kendra, her Godmother.

Being silly in the photo standee.

Julia's party was so much fun. I can't believe that she is two. She is wild and spunky and just perfect. Can't wait to see what the next year brings!

Happy 2nd Birthday Julia!

Wow. I can't be possible, there is no way Julia is two. It seems like time is just flying!! I know that people told me it would once we had kids, but I never thought it would go this fast!

The day before her birthday I decided to give her the new bike we got her. You could say that she loves it. She really enjoys being out with the big girls in the street riding!

And here is the last photo of her as a one year old. Sweet baby getting ready for bed.

I wanted to do something fun for breakfast and I thought this was a great idea! I found it on the internet. It is a birthday cake pancake!

And here is our ornery 2 year old.

Blowing out her candles!

The birthday girl and her sister!

Yep, we loved them!

After breakfast we opened gifts from Mommy, Daddy and Natalie.

Natalie was her big helper. I think she said she was in charge of removing all the bows. Too funny.

I love her face in this one!

And then later on Mi Mi stopped by with a couple more gifts.

Julia's birthday party was supposed to be this weekend, but they are calling for really nasty weather, so we have decided to postpone it one week. Because I still wanted to do something fun, I thought we would take all her little friends to McDonalds. It ended up being a lot of fun and I even took a cake!

Daddy even make the dinner.

Natalie and Abbie.

Sweet baby Ethan.

A couple of family photos.

And here is the whole gang.

After dinner we went to Mi Mi's where we opened up even more gifts! Of course Natalie got some great things too. Here they are trying on some new clothes.

We loved seeing our self in the mirror in our new Elmo shirt!

Natalie in her new dress.

Natalie and Pa Pa are calling each other. It was really funny to hear their conversations!

Julia in Mi Mi's reading glasses.

And when we got home there was a surprise from Marty!!

WOW! We love purses and being a princess!

A baby with a paci and a potty chair! Perfect!

And every 2nd birthday should conclude with a drum line.

It was a long and exhausting fun day!! Thanks to everyone who helped make it special! We are looking forward to next weekend!

Aunt Suzanne

Julia has the funniest way of saying her name. I wish there wasn't as much background noise!

Puppy Love!

We just love our pup!
