Big Fun Weekend!

This weekend was so much fun!

On Friday night Abbie came over and played with Natalie and Emily for a little while and Carrie got this great photo of them in Emily's new tent.

On Saturday we attended a birthday for our cousin Braden. His party was at the skating rink so Natalie got to try it out! She was a little timid at first and insisted that I skate while she holds my hand. Mi Mi and I finally got her out there and she decided that it wasn't so bad after all!

Mi Mi and Natalie enjoyed dancing to the music!

And there she goes!

They also had Skee Ball and Natalie thought it was great. I got a little video of her trying it out and I think they should require helmets!

And if you can believe it she actually got a ticket!

On Sunday Emily had her birthday party. It was princess themed and the girls loved it!

Natalie and Abbie all decked out!

We all got a chance to be a princess!

After Emily's birthday Bob, Cassidy and Brody came into town! It was so good to see them. They stayed with us Sunday thru Tuesday. Here the kiddos are hanging out together. I am not sure that Brody knew what to think of my two bossy girls!

On Tuesday we headed over to Abbie's park. Here are Abbie and Natalie on the swings.

I just can't believe how big Natalie is getting. She was all over the playground!

This was really the first time that Julia had run around the playground. She was totally drawn to the huge tube slide. I couldn't believe that she was brave enough to go down them alone! Of course she went down it on her tummy, but at least she did it! Here she is at the bottom of the slide.

Here she is heading towards the ladder for the slide. Cassidy would help her up and I would take her to the slide.

Here she is at the top of the slide getting ready to go down!

And here is Cassidy collecting her at the bottom!

After all that sliding, one tends to get a little parched.

Here is sweet Brody just a swinging!

Birthdays and Hobbies

Today was Emily's 3rd birthday. To celebrate we went to Botanica's new Children's Garden. It was a lot of fun and the kids seemed to enjoy it. It wasn't over 100 today, so we didn't melt. It was $3 Thursdays, so the place was a little busy, but overall I was pretty impressed!

Here are the kiddo's ready to help Emily celebrate!
Emily, Natalie and Abbie. I  love how they are holding hands.

They had these fun rainbows for the kids to run through. Natalie and Emily thought they were great fun.

They also had this huge mosaic sunflower ball fountain. All the kids thought it was fun.

One part of the garden had this Eric Carsle part. I loved this butterfly bench. I don't know what is with 3 year olds, why, when you say look at me, they never do?!?

Natalie and her sister.

Another part of the garden had a music maze and all of the girls thought it was fun.

There was a part that had a huge tree house that you could crawl around in and one section of it had fairy houses. I think Natalie was hoping that Tinkerbell was in this one.

Another part of the garden had a shallow pond that they could walk on stones to cross. Make for a great photo!

I think this was the biggest hit. 3 old fashioned water pumps, fill up water cans and water all the flowers around the garden. All the kids got into it.

Next to the water pumps was a play house. It had everything a little girl could want.

The last stop was a cave with water running through it. The kids were able to take paint brushes and paint the rocks with water.

My sweet Natalie is one of a kind. Here she is dressed to go to Target.

And now, on to my hobbies! Here are some burp rags and bib that I made  for my cousin's new baby! I just love my new sewing machine!!

Of course I love to take photos. So, when I took some recently for my cousin of her son, I had dove into the world of color popping. Wow, is all I can say. You can color pop anything. My new favorite is to color pop the photo and the eyes and darken the edges. I don't think I will pay to have my kiddo's photos taken again!  I had Jeff help me pose the kids tonight and while some of the faces aren't great, they were great for letting me practice.

Of course we had to get a little play time in too while I was trying to get photos. Julia is now old enough to try Natalie's ATV and I think Natalie may be too small for it.

Puppy Love!

We just love our pup!
