Baby It's Cold Outside

The weather here has been changing and Julia was in need of a hat to keep her ears warm. We have to get in and out of the car so much in the morning with all of Natalie's classes and it can be chilly! I found this cute hat at Target and of course it is even cuter on Julia's head!!

Shopping with Mommy

I took Julia shopping with me today and put her in the cart for the first time. I usually leave her in hew car seat, but I wasn't going to be long and wanted to give it a try. Of course she loved it. She was grabbing for everything and flirting with all the people. She is too funny. She was trying to grab everything out of my hands, so I gave her the camera case and she seemed satisfied.

7 Months Old

I can't beleive that my baby is 7 months old today!! We weighed her this afternoon and she weighed 16lbs. She is such a chunky monkey. We tried Babies R Us for photos and I thought they turned out pretty good. Julia was tired, poor thing just isn't sleeping. I am afraid it is the teeth or her lack of self soothing, either way it sucks.

Just A Swinging!

Yesterday was dragging a little bit in the afternoon, so I decided to bundle Julia up, head outside and hang the baby swing back up. Natalie was so excited to push Julia and it was so much fun to see Julia enjoy the swing so much. At first she was a little unsure, but it didn't take her long to get the swing of it. I also felt another tooth, so hopefully the sleepless nights will be far and few between for a little while.

Big Girl Tub

Since Julia has been sitting up so well I thought I would try her in the big tub tonight and she did great! She loved it. She just splashed and kicked. Natalie wanted to help, but I was a little nervous and didn't want too many hands so I had to tell her that she could help next time and man, did she get mad!! That girl really has a temper on her!

So, for the second time in 6 months Jeff and I had a date night. Yep, that is right, we went somewhere without the girl's. This time we went to the Zac Brown Band concert. We went with Thom and Jenny and Craig and Lyndsie. We had a lot of fun and really enjoyed the music. I called Mom at 7:30 and she told me that Julia had gone to be great. At around 9 she sent me a text saying that she had woken up a couple of times. When we got home at 11 she was pacing with her saying that she just wouldn't sleep. Poor baby. It was so good to see her and hold her in my arms. Of course Natalie had a hay day with Mi Mi watching her.

So, today Natalie had school photos. They showed two things, Natalie takes great photos and I do terrible hair. I am so sorry baby! If anyone has any pointers, I am listening!!

A couple of Firsts

This week we had a few firsts!
1. Julia sat in a restaurant highchair and did great! She even ate in it and didn't have any trouble.
2. Julia had yogurt melts and thought they were yummy!
3. Julia moved from her swing to her bed and we are doing good so far.
4. Natalie is going to start speech therapy soon to help make her speech clearer.

Tea for Two

There have only been a handful of times when Natalie will initiate play with Julia, but tonight was the best. She decided to have a tea party with her. She did get a little upset when Julia actually ate the cookie instead of just pretending to, but we worked through it. Love these girls!

A girl's gotta have shoes!

I am still addicted to buying the girl's shoes. They are just so cute! Julia likes her shoes too, except she likes to eat them. I love it when she empty's the shoe bin and tries to pick up and put in her mouth the shoes that she is wearing. It is too funny!

I Love to Play

Now that Julia can sit up she is all about playing. She loves to play with all kinds of things, but especially with her sister. Julia thinks Natalie hung the moon. It is way to cute.
