Today Natalie had a full day of fun! My cousin's daughter, Jaidyn, came and spent the day with us. Natalie enjoyed having her around as you can see from the pics below. We went to story time at the library and had lunch at McDonalds. The girls were so much fun at story time, they were dancing and singing their hearts out. Natalie was so excited she didn't even take a nap, just talked and clapped and rolled around in her bed for 2 hours!
While Jaidyn took her nap, I decided to wet down Natalie's hair. I didn't really have a photo of her crazy curls, so I thought I would try and get one here. She wasn't very happy about taking them! All she wanted to do was play with the spray bottle.
So, after Jaidyn went home, we had planned a night at the Zoo. We signed up for their Pajama Party. The kids are supposed to wear their PJ's, but I didn't think Natalie would understand that. I thought Natalie might be a handful because she didn't have a nap and this activity was past her bedtime, but she did great! The weather was beautiful too, like 65 and no wind.
This is Natalie touching a Madagascar Hissing Beetle. And yes, it was hissing! Yuck!
And hanging out in the chair at the class flirting with one of the volunteers.
After a little circle time in the Education Center, we headed to the Jungle at the Zoo. This is Natalie and Daddy just enjoying the sites of the zoo. Of course none of my photos from the jungle came out.
When we got back from the Zoo it was time to do a craft. We made counting sticks and she loves stickers, so this was a great activity for her.
After craft time it was time for a snack and a good night story. Natalie and I sat in the circle and Jeff was taking photos. At one point Natalie waved to Jeff as he was taking photos. She is so funny!
Today Natalie also learned how to make some animal sounds. She can do a Monkey and a Cow. She also said "baby" pretty clearly tonight at the class when she wanted to see a baby in a carrier and then had a semi-meltdown when she couldn't. It seems like she is trying to say a lot more, I can understand "up" and a few other things. It is amazing to watch her change and learn everyday.
