Natalie's Birthmark

Not a great photo, but some of you have asked what the mark looks like...there it is on her left shoulder and it is still raised. The doc said it should go away by the time she is seven, but that it could get larger before then. I am just glad it is nothing major that we need to worry about!

Two Month Stats

I forgot to mention Natalie's 2 month stats...

Weight 10.8 - 50th percentile
Height 22.25 - 50th percentile
Head 14.75 - 20th percentile

She is growing and doing well!!

Just Because They Are Cute!

Here are some random photos that we have taken that I think are just too cute!!

Look at my skinny legs...HA!

Shots Suck

So, yesterday Natalie had her first round of shots.....5 of them....can you believe it? Poor baby didn't even know what hit her at the docs office. She cried and screamed and my heart just hurt. We did get her calmed down and she seemed to sleep on and off through the evening, but every time she woke up and tried to eat, when she moved her right leg she would just cry. I couldn't stand it. She got 4 shots in her left leg and the DPT in her right which the doc said is the one that causes all the problems. She is taking Tylenol every 4 hours and I think that is helping. Today though she is doing much better. She was all smiles this morning and is enjoying some much needed tummy time right now. Hopefully the worse is over with this round of shots.

Two Months Old!

I can't believe Natalie is 2 months old. Time really flies. Today we went and took our first family photo and Natalie's 2 month photo. I think they turned out pretty good! I think she likes having her photo taken! She has to have her shots this afternoon and I am not looking forward to it. I hope she does OK and doesn't have any bad reactions....poor baby! They are also going to check that thing on her back again. I don't think it has gotten any better which leads me to believe it isn't a bite but a birthmark. We shall see!

My First Headband!

Today we tried a handband on Natalie. As you can see she doesn't seem that phased by it. I may have to put her in more to help the boy/girl confusion that happens at Target. Natalie is giving Mommy and Daddy a run for their money today. She has been very active and somewhat cranky. We went to Grandmas tonight for a little bit of a rest. Grandma bounced Natalie and Mommy had a break! Now we are trying to get Natalie to bed. It seems that she gets overtired if it is much pass nine, but now of course she is wide awake in her bed! I will have to see if she can put her self to sleep. She is pretty good at that. If not, than we may just have to try for bed in another hour or so. Hopefully she will be in la-la land soon!

First ER Visit

So, Wednesday was another very busy day for Natalie and I. We went Christmas shopping with Grandma at Babies R Us and the Mall. We then we spent the evening with Aunt Suzanne. We had a very good time. I went to give Natalie a bath around 9 and when I flipped her over to clean her back I noticed a huge, about the size of a quarter, raised spot on her back. It was red and blue in color. I yelled for Jeff and he came and looked at it. I was freaking out. We determined that it might be a bite or sting of some kind and I called Grandma to come and look to. We decided that it was weird enough to head to the ER and have it checked out.

Of course the ER was very busy, but they got us back quickly. The doctor said it was either a bite or sting or a hemangioma, which is a birthmark. They gave us some Benadryl and sent us home. They told me to call her pediatrician if it didn't improve by Friday.

Well it's Friday and it isn't much better, so we just got back from the pediatrician. He also thinks it might be a bite or sting or a hemangioma. He said it was very hard to tell the difference. If it goes away in 10 days it was a bite or sting, if not then it is a hemangioma. If it is a hemangioma it will go away slowly. Neither one are anything to worry about...whew!

Anyway, I thought I would post about our first real scare and ER visit.....my poor baby girl!!

Busy Day!

Monday was a very busy day for Natalie. She went to Mommy and Daddy's work to meet all their friends. She was very good and everyone loved her. Mommy decked her out in a very cute outfit and of course, very cute shoes. We then met Grandma for lunch and went back to her house to see more pink decorations. As you can see from the photo, Natalie doesn't like her Grandma very much at all... :)

Grandma's House is All Decked Out..

...in pink that is! I just thought Mom was going to do the tree in pink, but it looks like the entire house got a makeover! Natalie is going to have a great first Christmas.

Say Cheese!!

Natalie has been doing little smiles for a while now, but tonight when we went to take the photo for our Christmas card, she was all smiles! It was the first time I got it on camera...she was smiling at Daddy, so there isn't a straight on shot, but these were so cute, I just wanted to share them! I think she looks like she is laughing in one of them. I think she is too cute for her own good! :)

Puppy Love!

We just love our pup!
